We don't look for the next amazing performer... We Create Them! The Aerial Studio's Troupe Program is designed to create dedicated, capable, & magnificent performers! Student's (age range 6-18) audition to be a part of Troupe, moving from Troupe Track up to Troupe 3, 2, & 1. There is a high level of commitment to being in Troupe, with varying hours of required classes & shows. |
Wildly creative, hard-working, passionate students combine their talents in aerial, acrobatics, dance, theater and other specialties. They build strength and stamina through strict technique and are guided through exploration of choreography and self expression. They develop a strong foundation of teamwork, support and self care; including an understanding of wellness for longevity of training.
Troupe Auditions:
Once a year we hold auditions for youth to join our pre-professional performance troupe. During this time Artists will get the opportunity to perform their acts for a small group of coaches, directors and special guests. From this audition we will begin staging performances throughout California and for various events.
Private Lessons:
Group classes are important building blocks to create team work, motivation and support. It is equally important to set aside time for individual training with an instructor to clean choreographies, correct form, and create healthy habits. We recommend one private lesson per month with our Troupe Director.

6 of our Performance Troupe Members wow-ed the crowd at the annual Boys & Girls Club Gala on Saturday evening. Their character work, aerial performance, contortion and handstand demonstrations brought this circus-themed event to the next level. Overall, it was an amazing night to be part of and we are proud to support this amazing organization!
"Once you have commitment, you need the discipline and hardwork to get you there."

Our students have had the honor of performing in the following professional productions:
- Otis School of Design & Cirque du Soleil: The eleventh and final collection, which also included an awe inspiring circus performance, was from Cirque du Soleil costume designer, Dominique Lemieux, who came as a mentor to Otis from her base in Montreal. Her team designed theatrical costumes from sunrise to starry night inspired by crystals. Starting off with Sunrise, acrobats performed to Here Comes the Sun while wearing gorgeous crystallized body suits based primarily in yellows, oranges, and browns. Moving onto Fire, a classical ballet pas de trois was performed in red, brown and orange crystallized unitards almost appearing as if they were on fire. Water was the next element to be explored with performers wearing blue and green crystallized unitards. The finale was simply breathtaking as all performers came back on with dramatic jackets, overcoats and capes adorning their bodysuits. The student design team really had a chance to delve into fantasy with these designs and they did not disappoint. All of their outerwear designs were delightfully over the top and wonderfully illustrated the idea of costumes playing a role in theatricality.
- SOCA MONARCH TRINIDAD with MACHEL MONTANO & ZEN ARTS
- Ventura County Museum: The Aerial Studio performance troupe was the featured entertainment for the Ventura Rentals annual holiday party. The event was held at the Ventura County Museum. The troupe performed a variety of acts throughout the evening and dazzled the audience with their aerial grace and excellence.
- ArtWalk Ventura 2014: For us, it was a weekend of free demo classes, mini performances and an incredible Saturday evening performance by our Troupe students, as well as guest artists Charlie Faraday and Lamonte "Tales" Goode. The big oak tree at Mission Park was transformed into an outdoor theatre with lights, cameras, and aerialists cascading into action.
Costumes were created by Belinda Hill and Karine Osborne with hair and make up by the Cibara Salon staff!
